On Friday, March 23, at 6:30 p.m. Grace Baptist Church will have its annual “Family Soup & Fun Night.” Everyone is invited. Plenty of food, lots of fun, and great fellowship are the ingredients that will make this a wonderful night. Bring your favorite table games. A sign-up sheet is posted on the lobby bulletin board.
We will observe the Lord’s Supper in our evening service on Sunday, March 25.
Our Easter Sunday service is April 1 at 11:00 AM. A special program of music and drama will be presented. Please invite others to join you in worshipping the risen Lord. There will be an Easter fellowship at 10:00 AM and the evening service at 6:00 PM.
Dr. Jerry Bergman from the Institute for Creation Research will be with us on “Creation Sunday,” April 22. Dr. Bergman has nine earned degrees, including Ph.D.s from Wayne State University and Columbia Pacific University; and taught at the college level for over forty years. He will speak on the following topics:
• “From Atheist to Creationist” in our combined adult Sunday School
• “Creation in Six Days” in the morning service
• “Mutations Prove Evolution Is Going the Wrong Way” in the evening service
Our Ladies’ Bible Study meets on Tuesdays at 9:30 AM through March 27. The Bible lessons, entitled “Ask, Seek, Knock,” focus on prayer. Come and be challenged, encouraged, and blessed. Nursery care is provided.
This year’s summer camp for teens will be at Northland Camp in Dunbar, Wisconsin, during Teen Week 2 (June 25-30). Cost is $280 if you register by the March 15 early registration deadline; otherwise, it is $295. Teens should register online.
Each Saturday morning at 7:00 AM our men meet for fellowship, a short challenge from the Word of God, and prayer. We encourage men to come on Saturday mornings.
Our Saturday Outreach program began October 21 and continues each week. You are encouraged to come at 10:00 AM and take about an hour to go into neighborhoods and pass out literature inviting people to Grace Baptist Church. If you are a Sunday School teacher, you may want to call on your absentees. Some visits will be made to our shut-ins. Let’s reach out and let folks know they are welcome to come to church here!
Helen M. is hosting a MUMs (Moms Uplifting Moms) group. Its goal is to reach mothers with school-aged children with the Word of God by assisting with devotions and meeting needs. We hope to encourage moms to share, develop Christian fellowship, and attend church. We meet at Helen’s home in Madison Heights on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. The March meeting was postponed to March 8 because of inclement weather March 1. The April meeting will be on Thursday, April 12.
